CONSISTE EN SUMERGIR LA LENTE EN UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE ALMACENAMIENTO, A LA CUAL SE HAN AÑADIDO SALES EFECTIVAS CON AGENTES DE TAMPONAMIENTO PARA OBTENER UN PH DE 6,5 A 8,5 Y DAR A LA SOLUCION UNA TONICIDAD DE 0,7 A 1,4%; LUEGO SE AÑADE A DICHA SOLUCION UNA COMPOSICION NEUTRALIZANTE QUE CONTIENE SULFTO SODICO EN UNA CANTIDAD DE AL MENOS LA ESTEQUIOMETRICA RESPECTO AL H2O2 A NEUTRALIZAR, CON UNA CONCENTRACION DE SULFITO SODICO DE 0,1 A 15% EN PESO, Y UN AGENTE ESTABILIZANTE EN UNA CANTIDAD DE AL MENOS EL 10% EN PESO DE SULFITO SODICO, EL ESTABILIZANTE PUESDE SER EDA, GLUCOSA, LAURILSULFATO SODICO O PROPILGALATO. LA SOLUCION DE ALMACENAMIENTO LLEVA UN AGENTE CONSERVANTE CON UNA PROPORCION DE 1,0% EN PESO. EL AGENTE TAMPON UTILIZADO ES UNA MEZCLA DE ACIDO BORICO Y BORATO SODICO Y LA SAL EMPLEADA ES CLORURO SODICO. LA INMERSION DE LA LENTE TIENE LUGAR HASTA QUE EL CONTENIDO DE H2O2 DE LA LENTE Y DE LAS SOLUCIONES COMBINADAS, ESDE 40 PPM.
