Abstract
Piperazine derivatives of the formula < IMAGE > in which R<1> denotes a cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl group, where each such group contains 5 or 6 carbon atoms, or denotes a thienyl group or denotes a phenyl group, optionally substituted by a halogen atom or a trifluoromethyl or lower alkyl group, R<2> denotes a hydrogen or halogen atom or a trifluoromethyl or lower alkyl group, R<3> denotes a hydrogen or halogen atom or a lower alkyl group or a cycloalkyl group having 5 or 6 carbon atoms and R<4> denotes a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, are novel compounds, which have been found to have useful pharmacological properties, in particular vasodilatory and antihistamine activity. Various methods for the preparation of the piperazine derivatives and suitable pharmaceutical compositions containing them are described.
