Abstract

The composition comprises sodium carboxymethyl cellulose having an etherification degree of 60-80 % and a molecular weight of 1-5 x 10<5> -preferably in the form of a solution- and optionally in an amount of 5-10 % -related to the weight of the sodium carboxymethyl cellulose- a surfactant and/or plant growth regulating agent and/or microelements. According to the process of the present invention solid or liquid substrate (medium) used in plant cultivation -preferably soil, seeds, plant protecting agents or the plants are treated with the above composition in a dose of 3 x 10<-3> - 5.0 kg./to. active ingredient- substrate. The effect of plant protecting agents may be increased by adding to liquid plant protecting agents a composition according to the present invention in a dose of 0.5-100 kg./to. before use. The composition of the present invention is inert and compatible with usual plant protecting agent.
