Abstract

This relates to a process for the preparation of a liquid or damping material which comprises the stage of drying the waste waters from a process in which the fibres are completely or mainly cellulose processed by the wet route in order to obtain a semi-dry mass after which the said mass is reduced and then the resulting material is subjected to a drying process, characterised in that the waste water based on dry material contains from 20 to 50% by weight of fibres and between 80 and 50% by weight of inorganic pigment and the waste water is mixed with a surfactant and reduction is performed by passing the semi- dry mass with a water content of between 40 and 70% by weight through a screw conveyor, granulating the material in this way.
