Abstract
1. Device for applying a layer of a free-flowing, fine ceramic material onto a rigid, continuously moving carrier (2, 44) with a reservoir area for the material (13, 47) provided above the rectilinearly extending carrier (2, 44), the front boundary of which reservoir area in the direction of movement of the carrier is formed by a rotating roller (3, 45), and the lateral and rear boundaries of which are formed by walls (5, 8, 48, 49), characterized in that the roller (3, 45) is driven in rotary manner and the distance between the roller (3, 45) and the carrier (44) or the rear wall (8) can be adjusted to regulate the thickness of the applied layer (20, 56).
