Abstract
The method is intended to optimize the lying time of the metal in the dye and is based on the fact that the temperature of the dye at the instant when the metal casting starts is taken into account. For this purpose the dye temperature at that moment is measured and the value found is compared to a preset temperature-lying time table so as to subtract said lying time. The method finds application every time it is desired to produce a series of pieces with a minimum of scraps and an internal production capacity.
