Abstract

The stainless steel cooking pan has an aluminium base plate which is surrounded by a stainless steel shield. The base (3) plate is inserted between the bottom of the pan and the shield (4) so that it is completely enclosed. The shield has a rim (5) which is slightly splayed out to form a cavity. The metal used for hard-soldering penetrates into the cavity and joins the shield and pan bottom.
