SE EFECTUAN LAS SIGUIENTES ETAPAS: 1 ) REACCION DE UN 3-CETOESTEROIDE CON FORMIATO DE ETILO E HIDRURO SODICO EN UN DISOLVENTE APROTICO A TEMPERATURA AMBIENTE. 2 ) CICLAR LOS DERIVADOS 2-HIDROXIMETILENO (O FORMILO) RESULTANTES DE LA ETAPA ANTERIOR CON HIDROXILAMINA EN UN DISOLVENTE ALCOHOLICO. 3 ) HACER REACCIONAR LOS COMPUESTOS DE ISOXAZOL RESULTANTES DE LA ETAPA ANTERIOR CON UN ALCOXIDO DE METAL ALCALINO, PARA OBTENER LOS 2-CIANOESTEROIDES (I), DONDE R<1 ES HIDROGENO O METILO; R<2, R<3 Y R<4 SON HIDROGENO O METILO, CON UN DOBLE ENLACE EN LAS POSICIONES 4,5 O 5,6; R<5 ES METILO; R<6 ES HIDROGENO O METILO; R<7 ES METILO.
