UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PREPARACION DE UN COPOLIMERO DE ACRILATO-MALEATO. CONSISTE EN COPOLIMERIZAR DE 35 A 65 MOLES POR CIENTO DE ACIDO ACRILICO O METACRILICO CON 65 A 35 MOLES POR CIENTO DE ANHIDRIDO MALEICO, A UNA TEMPERATURA DE 80 A 150 C, EN PRESENCIA DE UN INICIADOR DE LA POLIMERIZACION Y UN DISOLVENTE DE TRANSFERENCIA DE CADENA, DE MANERA QUE LOS MONOMEROS Y EL POLIMERO FORMADO, PERMANEZCAN EN SOLUCION, Y LA RELACION MOLAR DEL ACIDO ACRILICO O METACRILICO MONOMERICO, AL ANHIDRIDO MALEICO MONOMERICO EN EL DISOLVENTE SE MANTIENE POR DEBAJO DE 0,2 APROXIMADAMENTE DURANTE TODA LA POLIMERIZACION. EL COPOLIMERO RESULTANTE SE MANTIENE A TEMPERATURA CONSTANTE DURANTE 10 A 120 MINUTOS.
