Abstract

In a method of producing bolted supports in roadways or tunnels during the driving by means of a heading machine, first of all bolt holes are drilled in the roof in the area of the heading machine adjacent to the face for primary bolting with a minimum bolt density required and roof bolts are put into these bolt holes for securing the lagging, and then further holes are drilled in the roof at a distance from the face and further roof bolts are set for achieving the bolt density required for the final bolting. An apparatus for carrying out this method has at least one drilling device (20) which is mounted on the heading machine (10) in such a way that it can be orientated, it being secured to a supporting frame (3, 13) in such a way as to be displaceable in the peripheral direction of the same. The supporting frame (3, 13) extends at least over part of the roof and the side walls of the roadway profile at a distance from it and is mounted on the heading machine (10) in such a way as to be pivotable and/or displaceable in the direction of the longitudinal axis (16) of the heading machine.
