Abstract

In a device for evaporating active substances incorporated into cellulosic pads, with a plastic housing one of whose half-shells serves as a receptacle for a plate-shaped electrical heater together with connections and plugs and the other of whose half-shells serves as a cover for the heater which is arranged behind a housing window having a protective grille and an insert channel, open at one end, for active-substance-carrier pads being formed between said heater and the protective grille and a holding-down means which pushes the active-substance-carrier pad against the heater being arranged on the protective grille, in order to achieve reliable mounting and contact-free removal of the active-substance-carrier pad, even with the insert channel open at one end, it is proposed that the protective grille (6) is integrally moulded on only one side of the housing (3), the holding-down means (8) thereof can be pushed, under resilient elasticity, against the active-substance-carrier pad and a handle (10) arranged outside the insertion path of the active-substance-carrier pad is integrally moulded on, by means of which handle the protective grille (6) together with the holding-down means (8) can be lifted away from the active-substance-carrier pad in opposition to the resilient elasticity.
