Abstract

The four-way valve has a heat-sensitive element (22) which operates between two closing members (20, 26) of which the one (20) can move between closed positions of a first (8) and of a second (9) output of the four-way valve (5), and of which the other (26) can open or close the one (6) of the two inlets (6, 7) of the four-way valve (5). In conjunction with a heat source having a variable effect, which operates for example using solar power, and in conjunction with a water heater or heating boiler, the four-way valve permits automatic regulation of the temperature of the distributed water subject to priority use of the heat supplied from the source having the variable effect. The invention is used especially for the distribution of sanitary hot water.
