CONSISTE EN EL CULTIVO DE UN MICROORGANISMO PRODUCTOR DE HETEROGLICANO PERTENECIENTE AL GENERO FLAVOBACTERIUM. EL CULTIVO SE LLEV A CABO EN UN MEDIO CONSTITUIDO POR FUENTES DE CARBONO, NITROGENO, IONES INORGANICOS, EN CONDICIONES AEROBIAS, A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 10 Y 35 C. EL HETEROGLICANO ACUMULADO SE SEPARA DEL CALDO DE FERMENTACION Y SE RECUPERA POR METODOS CONVENCIONALES. ESTE HETEROGLICANO TIENE APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS POR SU ACTIVIDAD INMUNOPOTENCIADORA.
