Abstract
PROCEDIMIENTO PARA POLIMERIZACION EN SUSPENSION ACUOSA DE P-METILESTIRENO. SE SUSPENDE P-METILESTIRENO EN UN MEDIO ACUOSO EN PRESENCIA DE UN FORFATO DIFICILMENTE SOLUBLE, TAL COMO FOSFATO DE CALCIO, BARIO, ESTRONCIO O HIERRO, COMO ESTABILIZADOR DE SUSPENSION Y COMO EXTENDEDOR UN POLI (P-METILESTIRENO) SULFONADO QUE CONTENGA DEL 0,1 AL 15 POR 100 DE GRUPOS ACIDO SULFONICO POR UNIDAD DE MONOMERO. TODO ESTO SE REALIZA EN PRESENCIA DE UN INICIADOR DE POLIMERIZACION, TAL COMO PEROXIDO DE BENZOILO, DE ACETILO, DE DITERBUTILO DE LAURILO. SE POLIMERIZA EL P-METILESTIRENO A TEMPERATURA DE 90C Y SE SEPARA DEL MEDIO DE POLIMERIZACION EL P-METILESTIRENO YA POLIMERIZADO.
