Abstract

A mother-paste for polychrome printing has a viscosity of 100 000 to 250 000 cp and comprises from 5 to 60 parts by weight of a binding agent, constituted by degraded starch from 20 to 65 parts by weight of a binding system adapted to solubilize the abovesaid binding agent comprising an organic solvent or mixture, from 0.1 to 35 parts by weight of one or several agents modifying the texture of the substrate to be printed, from 0 to 10 parts by weight of one or several agents which is simultaneously a modifier of the texture and a plasticizer, from 0 to 45 parts by weight of a dye-stuff. This polychrome printing can withstand prolonged periods of storage between two successive printings.
