COMPRENDE EL ENFRIAMIENTO DE DICHA CORRIENTE GASEOSA HASTA UNA TEMPERATURA INFERIOR A 49 GRADOS, AL PASAR EN CASCADA A TRAVES DE DOS ZONAS DE ABSORCION SEPARADAS (7, 8). AL MISMO TIEMPO QUE SE ENFRIA LA CORRIENTE GASEOSA, SE UTILIZA COMO ABSORBENTE DEL DIOXIDO DE AZUFRE UNA SOLUCION SALINA ACUOSA EN RECIRCULACION DE SULFITO-BISULFITO AMONICO, QUE CON EL DIOXIDO DE AZUFRE FORMA BISULFITO AMONICO ADICIONA, TENIENDO EL ABSORBENTE EN LA PRIMERA ZONA DE ABSORCION (7) UN PH INICIAL DE 6,5 A 9 Y UNA CONCENTRACION EN SAL DEL 20 AL 50 POR 100, Y TENIENDO EL ABSORBENTE EN LA SEGUNDA ZONA DE ABSORCION (8) UN PH INICIAL DE 5,2 A 7 Y UNA CONCENTRACION EN SAL DE 0,1 AL 10 POR 100.
