Abstract

A joint is sealed by (1) contacting the walls of the joint with an adhesive compsn. comprising (a) a PVC polymer and (b) a polyisocyanate and opt. a liquid vehicle. (2) drying the adhesive and (3) putting a sealant into the joint and allowing it to harden. Used for sealing joints between concrete, wood etc. Good bonding between the sealant and the substrate is achieved. The sealant is resistant to fuels.
