PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PREPARACION DE DERIVADOS DEL ACIDO AMINODESOXI-CLAVULANICO DE FORMULA (I), EN LA R1 ES UN GRUPO HETEROCICLICO, MONOCICLICO O BICICLICO AROMATICO, OPCIONALMENTE SUSTITUIDO, UNIDO A TRAVES DE UN ATOMO DE CARBONO; UN ESTER DEL MISMO O UNA SAL DE ADICION DE ACIDO DEL ESTER. SE HACE REACCIONAR UN COMPUESTO DE FORMULA (II) CON UN HIDRURO COMPLEJO SOLUBLE EN AGUA, PREFERENTEMENTE SELECCIONADO ENTRE LOS SIGUIENTES; BOROHIDRURO DE LITIO, BOROHIDRURO DE SODIO, BOROHIDRURO DE POTASIO Y CIANOBOROHIDRURO DE SODIO. EL COMPUESTO OBTENIDO PUEDE ESTAR EN FORMA AWITEIONICA.
