Abstract

Mounted in such an apparatus in a cylindrical driving shield (10) is a selective-cut heading machine (11) whose cutting arm (32) carrying a cutting head (33) is connected via a joint (35) to an annular cutting-arm holder (36) which is rotatable about a bearing body (23) and about a guide tube (22) which is fastened to a bracket (14). Arranged in the interior of the guide tube (22) is a rotary transmission leadthrough (42) for the connection and supply lines leading to the cutting-arm holder (36) and the cutting arm. This permits a compact type of construction of the driving apparatus and the protection of the lines without impairing the swivelling and rotary movements of the cutting arm (32) by the lines.
