Abstract
Mejoras introducidas en una batería de acumuladores eléctricos de varios elementos que comprende un bastidor de barrera de un material y una construcción adecuada para aislar eléctrica y químicamente uno de otro a componentes dispuestos en lados opuestos del mismo, un primer conjunto de bastidores en un lado del mismo y un segundo conjunto de bastidores en el lado opuesto del mismo, comprendiendo cada uno de dichos conjuntos primero y segundo una pluralidad de bastidores asegurados entre sí en relación de lado con lado, teniendo cada bastidor de cada conjunto unos elementos de división espaciados que definen con el perímetro del bastidor una pluralidad de áreas de soporte dispuestas lado con lado a través de la anchura del bastidor, estando asegurados entre sí en relación de cierre hermético el perímetro y los elementos de división de los bastidores en los conjuntos respectivos, y así los perímetros forman paredes exteriores de la batería y los elementos de división forman tabiques entre elementos adyacentes de la batería, teniendo el bastidor en un extremo de cada conjunto de bastidores el perímetro y los elementos de división del mismo asegurados en relación de cierre hermético con lados opuestos respectivos del bastidor de barrera, masas individuales de material de batería activo soportados en el área de soporte de bastidores de cada conjunto para formar una placa de la batería, seleccionándose el material de batería activo en áreas respectivas de modo que áreas adyacentes en el mismo bastidor formen placas de polaridad opuesta y áreas correspondientes en bastidores adyacentes del mismo conjunto formen placas de polaridad opuesta, y un miembro separador aislante, poroso al electrolito, entre el material de batería activo de polaridad opuesta en dichas áreas correspondientes, formando los conjuntos de bastidores primero y segundo una batería independiente de varios elementos a cada lado del bastidor de barrera.
