Abstract

Método para eliminar efectos de ánodo en el funcionamiento de una cuba de reducción electrolítica para la producción de aluminio por electrólisis de alúmina en un baño de fluoruro fundido, que comprende elevar el ánodo o ánodos desde una posición dada, en una distancia predeterminada o hasta que se establece una alta tensión de cuba predeterminada, y bajar dicho ánodo o ánodos, alternativa o adicionalmente basculando la cara del extremo inferior de dicho ánodo o ánodos, efectuándose tal elevación y descenso y/o basculamiento de tal manera que durante tal movimiento del ánodo tiene lugar la puesta en cortocircuito entre el ánodo y la masa líquida de aluminio fundido en el fondo de la cuba, como resultado del movimiento ascendente local de dicho metal fundido debido a efectos electromagnéticos, añadiendo alúmina de nueva aportación a dicho baño de fluoruro fundido conjuntamente con el movimiento de dichos (s) ánodo(s) de dicha cuba.
