Abstract

The electric toaster has an opening (12) in the top of the case (10) for the bread. A bread holder (18) slides on a vertical rod (20) and there are two heat sources (14). Two wire panels (22), on either side of the rod, occupy two positions, one when they grip the bread (22') and one when they free it (22"). In each side of the case (30) of the case there are two inclined slots (32, 34) in which wires (36, 38) connected to the panels are engaged. The bread holder has a wedge (40) with two inclined ramps (42) which push the wires along the slots and separate the panels when raised.
