Abstract

Procedimiento y aparato para controlar el espesor de una capa de metal líquido sobre un sustrato de metal, caracterizado porque comprende las etapas de: adelantar el sustrato en dirección hacia delante; dirigir un flujo magnético estacionario, alterno o pulsante, en una trayectoria que entra en la capa en una zona de entrada y sale de la mencionada capa en una zona de salida, estando dichas zonas sobre una superficie exterior de la capa y separada en cuanto a la dirección hacia adelante se refiere; y controlar la frecuencia a intensidad del flujo de forma que se ejerza sobre la superficie de capa una fuerza que se oponga a las fuerzas de resistencia viscosas ejercidas sobre la misma debido al sustrato en movimiento.
