Procedimiento para purificar sulfato sódico, sobre todo sulfato sódico que contiene trazas de metionina, por tratamiento en medio oxidante, caracterizado por el hecho de que se trata el sulfato sodico con una solución de oxidante, esencialmente del grupo de los cloratos, nitratos y persulfatos, y luego se calcina el sulfato sódico así tratado.
