Abstract
Un sistema de aterrizaje por instrumentos con una estación de tierra que radia señales de senda de descenso y de rumbo localizador, y con una estación a bordo del avión en dónde se determinan a partir de estas señales la senda de descenso y el rumbo localizador, y en dónde se indican las desviaciones de la senda de descenso real y del rumbo localizador real de los valores nominales, caracterizado porque para determinar una senda de descenso seleccionable libremente (6), la estación de abordo (4) incluye adicionalmente un dispositivo de medida de distancias (22), un computador (25) y al menos un altímetro (23, 24) porque, a grandes distancias de la pista y durante el vuelo sobre las balizas de señalización, la senda de descenso (6) está determinada por la distancia del avión a un punto (3), cerca de (1,2), o a un punto (8) sobre la pista (7) y por la respectiva medida de altitud, porque, a distancias medias de la pista (7), la senda de descenso (6) está determinada, de una manera ya conocida, por las señales de la senda de descenso, porque los valores medidos a bordo del avión se comparan, en el computador (25), con los valores nominales de la senda de descenso seleccionada (6) y porque las desviaciones se indican de una manera ya conocida.
