Abstract

A heater (5, 6) and a support (14) for the roasting and grilling items which can be locked in its working position are arranged in the roasting chamber of the roasting and grilling device (1). An electric timer device (8) which can be influenced by the roasting and grilling temperature is present for the purpose of controlling the roasting and grilling operation. Said timer device is connected to the heater (5, 6) and to the unlocking device (10). The electric timer device (10) has an electric temperature sensor (17) with a proportionality factor which is constant in the roasting and grilling temperature range between the working temperature and the output variable. Such a device (1) operates reliably and always delivers items roasted or cooked to a constant degree independently of the nature of the roasting or grilling item and of the state of preheating.
