Abstract

Esta invención se refiere a N-(3,5,-dihalofenil-alfa-espirocicloalcanosuccinimidas de fórmula **(Fórmula)** Donde X es un átomo de cloro o bromo y R es un grupo alquileno C3-C6 (v.g. trimetileno, tetrametileno, pentametileno, metilpentametileno, hexametileno) y su preparación y uso. Ya se sabe que algunos de los derivados de N-(3,5-dihalofenil)succinimida, cuyas posiciones alfa y/o beta opcionalmente sustituídas con diversos sustituyentes, ejercen actividad antimicrobiana sobre ciertos microorganismos. Ahora se ha hallado que las N-(3,5-dihalofenil)succinimidas (I) con un grupo espirocicloalcano en la posición alfa presentan una actividad antifúngica marcadamente superior a la de sus homólogos y además no presentan fitotoxicidad material para las plantas (v.g. arroz, frijol, judía adzuki, soja, patata, tabaco, pepino, tomate, guisante, berenjena, pimiento, judiones, melón, lechuga, cebolla, sandía, fresa, rábano, col, col china, manzana, pera, uva, melocotón y albaricoque japonés).
