Abstract

Procedimiento de preparación de estructuras de perlita expandidas, que comprende la introducción de partículas de perlita en un aparato de expansión, y el tratamiento de estas partículas no expandidas durante un periodo de tiempo suficiente para provocara la expansión de prácticamente la totalidad de las partículas de perlita expansibles, caracterizado porque comprende la utilización en el quemador de una mezcla de gas combustible, de aire primario normal y oxígeno, de tal forma que la cantidad de gas combustible introducida, tal como metano, es del orden de 1 volumen de este gas por 2 a 6 volúmenes de aire, y la utilización de oxígeno a razón de 1,5 a 16% en peso con relación al aire utilizado.
