Abstract
In this method, a web of insulating material is wound in the shape of a helix onto a support body. In order to be able to carry out such a method using simple aids and with a comparatively low outlay, a winding roller is used as support body and the at least one layer (11) is separated on its side approximately diametrically opposite the adhesive strip (12). The method according to the invention can be used to produce webs of insulating material which are feathered at their edges, such as those required for insulating high-voltage devices.
