Abstract

The grill heating elements (1, 2) are fitted in detachable housings (3, 4) to facilitate cleaning. The supper housing (3) has a tongue (5) at each end fitted with a pin (7) . The lower housing (4) has tongues (6) with slots (8) which engage the pins (7). A notch (17) in the slot (8) supports the pin (7) in its uppermost position when grilling a thick piece of meat. For grilling thin slices, the pins (7) are pressed into the notches (16) and the projection (11) abusts against the stop (12). When not is use the pin (7) slides to the bottom of the the slot (18) and the projection (11) fits in the slot (10). For large pieces of meat the top housing (3) can be swung through 180 deg. so that the elements (1, 2) form one large grilling surface.
