Abstract

Support or suspension clamp for high, medium or low voltage overhead cables which can accommodate with minimal modification cables of a range of diameters. The support allows the clamped cable some degree of movement against a preset spring. The spring has an elongated and broken oval form, the broken ends being trapped within a block whose position along the length of the support can be altered. The complete side of the spring presses against a shaped block which in turn traps the cable within the 'U' shaped end of the support. The support is hung from a ring (3) at the end away from the cable, the sprung clamp being manipulated by a hooked rod (7).
