Abstract

Procedimiento para fabricar cable de doble cubierta, caracterizado porque dicho procedimiento comprende las fases de: hacer avanzar un alma de cable a lo largo de un trayecto de avance; aplicar una tira metálica ondulada alrededor de secciones sucesivas del alma del cable en avance con una costura soplada, teniendo la tira superficies principales encaradas hacia el interior y hacia el exterior, estando encarada hacia el alma del cable la superficie principal encarada hacia el interior; extruir una capa de cubierta de un primer material polímero sobre el alma y la tira metálica con el primer material polímero en íntimo contacto con la superficie principal encarada hacia fuera de la tira metálica, de modo que la distancia desde la línea central longitudinal del cable hasta la superficie encarada hacia fuera del primer material polímero sea por lo menos ligeramente mayor que la distancia desde la línea central hasta las partes exteriores de la tira metálica ondulada; y extruir una capa de cubierta de un segundo material polímero sobre la capa interior de la cubierta, pudiendo el segundo material polímero resistir temperaturas de por lo menos 100ºC sin perjudicar la integridad del cable, teniendo el primer material polímero una relación de profundidad de entalla crítica sensiblemente mayor que la del segundo material polímero para mantener sustancialmente la integridad estructural del cable a pesar de la impresión de ondulaciones del primer polímero por la tira metálica.
