Abstract

Procedimiento y electrofiltro para eliminar sólidos de corrientes de líquido orgánico, procedimiento caracterizado porque comprende las etapas: poner la corriente de líquido orgánico a una temperatura suficiente para que los sólidos orgánicos, como es la estearina, estén en solución y no puedan taponar un lecho de electrofiltro destinado a eliminar los sólidos llevados por el líquido; hacer pasar la corriente de líquido orgánico a través de un lecho químicamente inerte que tiene una pluralidad de canales de flujo entre masas rígidas de un material sólido que tiene una constante dieléctrica que no excede de aproximadamente; establecer un campo eléctrico de corriente continúa dentro del lecho con una intensidad suficiente para remover los sólidos de la corriente orgánica por adherencia eléctricamente inducida de los sólidos en el material del lecho; extraer la corriente de líquido orgánico purificado con un contenido de sólidos reducido del lecho para ulterior utilización; y limpiar a intervalos selectivos por lo menos una parte del material de sólidos adherentes por interrupción del campo eléctrico, haciendo pasar un fluido de limpieza para remover los sólidos adherentes el material y extraer el fluido con los sólidos removidos del material.
