Abstract

Perfeccionamientos introducidos en un método de tratar vidrio fundido que comprende: suministrar corrientes de vidrio fundido; atenuar o adelgazar las corrientes del vidrio formando filamentos o fibras en una primera zona; evacuar calor de las corrientes por medio de un miembro adyacente a las corrientes en la primera zona; dirigir un primer gas a la primera zona en una relación de reaccionable con un segundo gas suministrado a la primera zona por las corrientes de vidrio a fin de formar un tercer gas; y mantener la temperatura de dicho miembro por encima de la temperatura de condensación del tercer gas para reducir la tendencia del segundo gas y del tercer gas a condensarse sobre dicho miembro.
