Abstract
Improvements introduced in the object of the main patent No. 422,739, filed on January 29, 1974, by: Procedure for the production of condensed polymeric phosphazenes, in which (a) a partially esterified phosphonitrile chloride is treated with a metal alkoxide or with an alcohol, said alkoxide or alcohol having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, at a temperature of at least 20ºC, with (b) a tertiary amine selected from the group consisting of mononuclear and polynuclear heterocyclic aromatic amines, aliphatic amines of formula R1R2R3N in where R1, R2 and R3 represent the same or different alkyl or alkenyl groups with 1 to 10 carbon atoms, aromatic amines and aralkylamines of the formula R4R5R6N where R6 is aryl and R4 and R5 represent the same or different alkyl and alkenyl groups, with 1 to 10 carbon atoms, said tertiary amine being free of active hydrogen atoms; characterized by the fact that the tertiary amine is trimethylamine.
