Abstract
A procedure of preparation of an epoxy-alkane useful in therapeutics, mainly in the treatment of secretory discomfort of the prostate, which responds to the general formula: **(See formula)** where B is H or CH3 and A is a hydrocarbon residue containing at least 15 carbon atoms, and their geometric isomers, whose process is characterized by reacting an alkene of formula: CH3-A-CH = CH-B (II) where A and B are those defined above, with a peracid in excess with respect to stoichiometric conditions, at a temperature between 15 and 25ºC.
