Abstract
Improvements in a weft yarn sorting and presenting device of different types on a loom without a weft continuous feed shuttle, of the type in which we use guided or thrown weft inserters and weft threads extracted from stationary bobbins arranged by out of the tissue and which remain constantly attached to the lateral edge of said tissue, said device comprising governing bodies constituted by a perforated programming tape, a system of probing needles of the programming tape, a system of selectors through the eyes of which weft threads of different types pass, mechanisms for the downward displacement of said selectors, a system of selector control levers that connect said selectors to said displacement mechanisms, and a displacer mechanism adapted to effect a simultaneous displacement towards above all probing needles, charac bristling because said selectors are provided with different lengths and are arranged above the fulling mill at one end of the loom according to a downwardly inclined row that extends approximately in the direction of the path of the weft inserter, so that they are forced to carry out inclined downward movements of different lengths, in order to present the corresponding weft threads in front of the weft inserter always at the same angle of inclination with respect to the direction of the path of the weft inserter itself.
