Procedure for molding fiber-reinforced cementitious articles, of the type comprising the steps of mixing the material to form the article with water, placing the mixed material in a two-piece openable mold through an opening therein; closing the mold opening, and after the material has partially set, introducing one or more elongated elements into the mold to thereby compress the material in the mold, characterized in that a fibrous reinforcing material is included in the mixture and in that said elongated elements are introduced into the mold longitudinally to be against a surface or surfaces of the mold that define at least an elongated part of the article that has cross-sectional dimensions less than its length.
