Abstract
Procedure for the production of a metal, characterized in that it comprises the steps of providing a chloride of the metal to be produced, the metal chloride of which is in the fluid phase; providing a solid phase reducing metal; reacting said fluid metal chloride with the reducing metal, in a container, at a temperature and pressure under which both reactants will maintain their respective phases, reducing the reducing metal to the fluid metal chloride and forming an essentially elemental form of the metal to be produced and a chloride metal reducer.
