Abstract
Procedure for formulating bleaching, sterilizing, disinfecting and detergent compositions, of the type containing sodium dichloroisocyanurate with 11-14.1% by weight of water of hydration as essential component, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: reacting cyanuric acid, chlorine and an alkali selected from the group consisting of sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide in a first aqueous medium to produce a slurry of dichloroisocyanuric acid; separating the solid dichloroisocyanuric acid from the slurry; neutralizing the solid dichloroisoclanuric acid with sodium hydroxide in a second aqueous medium to form sodium dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate particles; separating the sodium dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate particles from the second aqueous medium; drying the wet sodium dichloroisocyanurate dihydrate particles at a temperature between 15 and 50ºC to produce sodium dichloroisocyanurate with 11-14.1% by weight of hydration water; supplying the hydrated sodium dichloroisocyanurate from a storage area to a mixing area; subjecting the hydrated sodium dichloroisocyanurate to addition mixing, in said mixing zone, with a component selected from the group consisting of a detergent filler, an anionic, nonionic or cationic surfactant, and a detergent filler, thereby reducing the dangers of fire during formulation.
