Abstract

Process for obtaining an industrial nitrocellulose in the form of dry granules especially suitable for the manufacture of polyurethane varnishes, characterized by comprising the following successive phases per 100 parts of dry granules with respect to weight: a) is introduced into a stirred reactor between 70 to 90 parts by weight of nitrocellulose wetted with water; b) apart and in 0.1% to 3 parts by weight of soluble water-soluble protective colloid is dissolved in hot water; c) independently a solution is prepared between 10 to 30 parts by weight of hydroxylated plasticizer, containing at least one free hydroxyl group capable of reacting with the isocyanate groupings of the polyurethanes in a solvent common to the plasticizer and the nitrocellulose; d) the protective colloid solution is introduced into the reactor whose reactor contains the aqueous nitrocellulose dispersion and is added to the mixture of water and said common solvent to the plasticizer and the nitrocellulose; e) the hydroxylated plasticizer solution is introduced into the reactor; f) said common solvent is distilled off and the remaining reaction mixture is left to cool, filtered, washed and dried (Machine-translation by Google Translate, not legally binding)
