Procedure for obtaining reactive azine dyes of the formula: ** (see formula) ** Wherein am represents an anilino, di (lower alkyl) -amino or n (lower alkyl) benzylamino group, at least one of the pendant benzene nuclei containing an nho group, wherein o is a s-triazine nucleus substituted by an chlorine or bromine atom and an amino or substituted amino group, and the total dye containing at least one additional sulfonic acid group; characterized in that it comprises reacting a phenazine compound of formula (1) wherein am is defined as above and at least one of the pendant benzene cores contains an nh2 group, with chloride or cyanuric bromide, to introduce a dichloro- or dibromo-s-triazine; and reacting the product with ammonia or an amine; the reactants together containing at least two sulfonic acid groups.
