A collapsible and reusable piºata device, comprising in combination: a pair of flexible side wall panels; panel is folded in front and rear accordion extending between said side panels; an erect member extending between said anterior and posterior panels in the central plane between said wall panels; track means formed in said erect member and extending from near the lower part of said member upwards to a point of said member at a height above the upper edges of said side wall panels; a slide member mounted for vertical movement in said track; a pair of wing-like wire frame elements extending between said slide member and a line of the inner surface of said wall panels at a vertical height corresponding to the lower part of said track, whereby the displacement of said sliding member upwards in said track brings said walls inward toward said erect member, and a downward displacement from the upper part of said track expands said walls outwards and upon reaching said slider from the lower part of said track, provides a relatively rigid support for said walls and said piºata; a fragile bottom coating extending around the perimeter formed by the lower edges of said side walls and front and back panels, in cooperation with said walls and panels defining a receptacle for the contents of said pinata; means for suspending said piºata from a higher point; and means hanging from said fragile lower part to break said lower part to release said content.
