Abstract
Process for the preparation of catalyst components for the polymerization of alpha-olefins, particularly propylene, characterized by obtaining, in a first phase, a composition of the general formula TiCl3.xAlCl3-y.yR1R2.zP in which x is a number valued from 0.3 to 0.5; y is a number valued from 0.1 to 0.02; Z is a percentage by weight comprised between 1% and 10%; R1 is -C2H5 and R2 is -C3H7; the relationship R1/R2 is less than 0.5; and P is polypropylene, with an X-ray spectrum similar to that of TiCl3 in the delta crystalline modification, by reduction of TiCl4 with chlorinated Al-propyl derivatives, preferably with Al-propyl sesquichloride in a molar ratio of Al-propyl/TiCl4 derivatives of 0, 5 to 1, at temperatures from 0º to 15ºC, and activated by means of a heat treatment at a temperature of 140º to 180ºC and preferably at 150ºC, the product of the reduction.
