Abstract
Procedure for separating particulate matter from a gas and for cooling said gas, characterized in that it comprises the operations of: supplying a liquid to a place where it is dispersed; passing the liquid in dispersion to a sump in which a part of the liquid is retained; direct the gas in the liquid so that it falls on the surface of the same; and causing the gas that has impinged on the surface of the liquid to pass through the dispersed liquid.
