Abstract
Procedure for obtaining dyes of the triazine series, of general formula: **(See formula)** where V and w each have a value of 0-2 and together have a value of at least 1; n has the value 1-2; symbol A represents C1, Br, -OR1, -NRR2, -SR1 or SO3H and symbol B represents Cl, Br or a group of the formula: **(See formula)** where Q represents an organic linking group, A1 and B1 independently represent Cl, Br, SO3H, -OR1, -NRR1 or -SR1, provided that at least one of the symbols A, A1 and B1 represents Cl, Br or SO3H, and in the definitions above, each R independently represents H or an alkyl group that can be substituted, each R1 independently represents H or an alkyl or aryl group that can be substituted, and each R independently represents H, an alkyl group that it may be substituted or an aryl group which, if substituted, carries a SO3H or CO2H group attached to a carbon atom of the aromatic ring; characterized in that it comprises reacting a diamino compound of the formula: **(See formula)** with one to two moles of a compound of the formula: **(See formula)** or a compound of the formula: **(See formula)** the symbols A, A1, B1, Q, R, V and w being defined as above and A2 representing an atom of C1 or Br.
