Abstract

Procedure for preparing and vulcanizing elastomeric compositions, characterized by treating at temperatures of 120º to 220ºC and for 1 to 120 minutes a composition consisting of: A) 20 to 90% by weight of a copolymer, with at least 0.1 to 0.5 mol/Kg of unsaturation, based on ethylene, an alpha-olefin and at least one diene that introduces bonds into the copolymer fast-curing doubles in the presence of sulfur and accelerators and taken from the group consisting of: conjugated diolefins, triene having two conjugated double bonds, unconjugated dienes having vinylidene double bonds, unconjugated dienes having double bonds alkylidenes and unconjugated dienes having trisubstituted or tetrasubstituted double bonds; and B) 10 to 80% by weight of a rubber, at least, of high unsaturation; with C) a curing system consisting of: a) 1 to 10 parts of sulfur and preferably 1 to 4 parts per 100 parts by weight of the total amount of elastomers (copolymer plus high unsaturation rubber) and b) 0.5 to 10 parts and preferably 1.3 to 3 parts by weight of an accelerator taken from the sulfenamidic derivatives per 100 parts by weight of the total amount of elastomers; and eventually in the presence of D) conventional additives, such as zinc oxide, steoric acid, fillers, carbon black, plasticizers, stabilizers, etc. (Machine-translation by Google Translate, not legally binding)
