Abstract
A method of manufacturing an electromechanical resonator comprising at least one insulating support member, a scheme of electrical conductors formed, at least in part, on a surface of said support element and at least one resonator element supported on said surface of said support element in a separation relationship substantially parallel with the conductive scheme, the method comprising an intermediate stage that provides, between a layer of material from which the resonator is made or has to be made, and said surface of said support element, a layer of material that is chemically different from the materials of the resonator element, the support element or the support elements and the conductive scheme, and a subsequent step to remove the different material chemically by selective attack to leave the resonator element separate from the conductive scheme of electricity.
