Improvements in pistons for cylinders driven by pressurized fluid, provided with a damping chamber, characterized in that the piston comprises a head in the form of a sleeve made of elastic material and a support disk member for said head secured in a piston rod, such a disk member being disposed within the space limited by such a sleeve-shaped head and extending transversely to the longitudinal extension of the head and having a diameter less than an external diameter thereof, the piston head projecting in the form of sleeve with a protruding portion thereof from at least one side of such a disk member in a direction perpendicular to the disk member, such protruding sleeve portion of the head having a free, bulb-shaped end edge defining a periphery external convex edge of the protruding free end, and such head having a narrowed portion having a diameter ro less than the maximum diameter of such a free end edge.
