Abstract
Procedure for the preparation of unsaturated aliphatic carboxylic acids, characterized by reacting in the vapor phase and at a temperature between 300º and 500ºC, unsaturated alpha-beta-olefins and molecular oxygen, in the presence of a catalyst consisting of molybdenum, vanadium, tellurium, and oxygen and, optionally, other elements capable of combining with tellurium in the form of alloys or tellurides, in which there is at least one compound consisting of oxygen, molybdenum and/or vanadium and/or tellurium and which has an oxidation state less than the maximum.
